Hi. I’m Christine, a first generation New Yorker with Dominican roots. When I was born, the Sun was in the constellation Taurus, the Moon was in Leo, and Scorpio was rising in the east. I grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, the most diverse place on the planet. The sounds of Merengue, Salsa, Freestyle, Grunge and Hip Hop composed the soundtrack to my childhood and adolescence. I spent a decade in the corporate world of Book and Magazine Publishing, my first professional career.

My focus shifted to caregiving and healing when I learned cancer had taken up residence in my mother's small frame. Immediately I became her primary caregiver. For several months, my days were spent navigating a complicated healthcare system, supporting my mom through surgery, chemo, and the daily struggles of battling stage 4 cancer. Eventually my support continued throughout hospice and the end of her life.

ABOUT ME

At the same time I was diagnosed with PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. A newlywed, I feared I might not be able to conceive a child without medical intervention. Researching holistic ways to heal my body so it would relearn how to ovulate on its own, filled my nights. I succeeded, a couple years later, and entered the world of parenthood, ultimately giving birth to 3 amazing children who became my focus.

I was led back to the path of self awareness, and healing when my youngest child entered preK. As I had long studied everything I could about Parenting, Trauma, Mental Health, Human Behaviors, Love, Sex, and Relationships, I realized my life long role as a guide and supportive presence to those going through a multitude of life transitions and challenges. Suddenly my role became clear:

I am a doula.

With my unique background and blend of cultural awareness, life experiences, education and trainings, in addition to my natural talents and intuitive abilities, I hold space for those who find me. I am thrilled to provide support and guidance to those who invite me in to see them clearly to help them find the direction, clarity, and confidence they seek.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

In addition to my current certifications and trainings, as a professional doula, I maintain my skills and knowledge through continued education, research and mentorship. I am continuously learning and prioritize staying up to date with relevant information to ensure I’m providing my clients with the best care possible.
