THE SPIRITUAL PATH TO SELF AWARENESS
Growing up Catholic, I grew up with a very limited view on spirituality. As I grew older I perused the texts of every religion I encountered seeking answers to the mysteries of a world that fascinated me. As I studied Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. I found solace in the common ideas and beliefs of each: do good unto others, love, do no harm, etc. Although I loved being in community, participating in ceremony, and being a part of my church choir, I was soothed simply being a child of the Universe. Endlessly curious even as an adolescent, I was intrigued by the magical and the mystical that no one could explain to my satisfaction. I dove deep into learning Astrology, Numerology, Tarot, and more trying to find a way to connect it all together. I thought I had it all figured out.
And then I lost my mother to cancer. And then I became a mother. Long before I trained to be a doula, I saw the magic of life and death play out, up close and personal, and was forever changed. It took a couple decades of living and learning to get to a place where my spiritual beliefs are now followed by an ellipsis, not a question mark. My path to self awareness and personal enlightenment has opened my eyes to so much I am grateful for. As I approached my 4th decade on this planet, I returned to my path and my studies, learning about the mind through psychology and neuroscience, and the body in relation to holistic healing, the effects of generational trauma and CPTSD. I became a Holistic Healing Practitioner and Reiki Practitioner. I returned to Astrology and Tarot as I learned to tap into my intuition again, and found Human Design, the best manual for living true to your nature, I’ve found yet. The more I learned, the more everything made sense. As Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said, “We are not human beings meant to have a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”
Life is a journey, one made infinitely easier with the support of a trusted guide to help lead the way. I know my experience is not unique. As humans we long to authentically connect with others in order to feel fulfilled. The path to spiritual awareness is one way we can get there. Using the many tools at my disposal as well as my innate intuitive gifts, I am honored to support those seeking self awareness, messages from ancestors, a sneak peak to past lives, a glimpse of a path forward, or simply confirmation of what they have been waiting to reveal deep inside.
